- It stars Ashley Walters and Noel Clarke. Kidulthood writer Noel Clarke is Bishop while Top Boy actor Ashley Walters, who was also in Safe House, plays Pike.
- The lead stars also co-created the series. Clarke and Walters are masterminds behind their own series alongside Nick Love. Bulletproof: The Sky One comedy starts May 15.
- The show is set in the Capital. The location of the comedy is in East London. Last year, it was reported by the Liverpool Echo that parts of the series had been filmed in Liverpool, closing a number of streets to traffic and pedestrians as well as shooting near and in the Birkenhead Tunnel.
- Bulletproof was inspired by US cop shows. Clarke and Walters cite Lethal Weapon and shows like Bad Boys – which Walters says he “grew up on” – as their muse.
