Cory most impressed me in leg one of the Total Madness final when he finished first out of everyone. Still not convinced that he's well rounded enough to win a solo final but he could absolutely win a partner final (with a strong partner) or a team final.

The issue with Zach, is his shortcomings in elimination rounds and finals. But one can make a strong case that Zach is a better competitor performance wise than Kenny (Fresh Meat), Leroy, Hunter, Cory and Kyle to name a few. I rank Zach in the 16-20 range all time.

- Result - Cloud Strife. So, who is the better protagonist in the Final Fantasy 7 series? It's Cloud Strife by a considerable amount. Zack is an excellent character that is fun, charming, and immensely strong, allowing you to vibe with him from the very beginning of Crisis Core all the way to the credits.
- Appearance - Draw. You can't bring up the debate of the ages without tossing their appearances into the mix, can you? Both dress the same, wield the same sword, and even have similar hair.
- Games - Cloud. We can argue about their strength, personality, and character development all day long, but who has the better games? If you compare the original Final Fantasy 7 to the original Crisis Core, then Final Fantasy 7 wins by a landslide, but what about Final Fantasy 7 Remake against Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion?
- Overall Character - Cloud Strife. Despite Cloud trying to embody Zack's life, spirit, and personality, he fails miserably, coming away as a seemingly harsh, edgy jerk who only wants to take Sephiroth down and could carelessly save others.
Going from being cordial to one big blended family, Cory and Zach have definitely come a long way. Their relationship will continue to evolve as they both navigate co-parenting with Cheyenne on an all-new season of Teen Mom OG!
