I've played both series, and I recommend Yakuza for sure. Mafia remastered is a masterpiece. Mafia 2 and 3 are good too, but didn't reach the same heights imo. On the other hand, all games in the Yakuza series maintain a certain base level of enjoyment that you can count on. If you love one, you'll love the rest.

I started up Mafia 2 the other night and it plays as good as I remember it. It looks sharper than original but not as good as Mafia 1 DE. 2 and 3 also have all the dlc. I waited on getting the 3 pack.
