  1. Unfaithfully Yours is a 1984 American romantic comedy film directed by Howard Zieff, starring Dudley Moore and Nastassja Kinski and featuring Armand Assante and Albert Brooks. The screenplay was written by Valerie Curtin, Barry Levinson, and Robert Klane based on Preston Sturges' screenplay for the 1948 film of the same name.

  2. Oct 24, 2016 · Really: almost nothing actually happens in the film. It is mostly just Harrison getting more and more freaked out by his imagination. He starts as a man totally in love and trusting of his wife. But a seed is accidentally planted and it works on him as well as Iago did on Othello. But things turn out better for Harrison and Darnell.

During a concert, the jealous De Carter entertains elaborate visions of vengeance, set to three separate orchestral works. But when he...

The Criterion Collection presents Preston Sturges’ Unfaithfully Yoursin its original aspect ratio of 1.33:1 on this dual-layer disc. It’s a fine looking transfer despite a few minor issues. The transfer is a little soft around the edges at times and contrast looks to be boosted slightly, which robs some of the detail in a few sequences with heavy w...

Criterion presents a nice mono track for the film. Dialogue and music are both crisp and sharp, and there’s a nice amount of range to it. The track overall is free of distortion and background noise, appearing to have been thoroughly cleaned up. More than adequate for the film.

Criterion includes a nice collection of supplements on this DVD release. I'm amazed that they were even able to add more to this set since they covered Preston Sturges so extensively in their other two releases for his films The Lady Eve and Sullivan's Travels. The commentaryon this disc is a bit of an odd beast. I can't say I cared much for it and...

I have to say I’ve always liked this film and don’t completely understand some of the criticisms against it. Criterion covers this all rather well in its supplements and gives the film a fine looking transfer, and the fact that it’s available at the lower price of $29.95 makes it a definite deal, even if I’m not a fan of the commentary track. A hig...

  7. Jul 11, 2005 · Jul 11, 2005. Unfaithfully Yours is the outlier among Sturges's masterpieces. The first seven were unveiled in an improbable stretch, from 1940 to 1943, when he seemed incapable of doing wrong, and they were to varying degrees hits, while Unfaithfully Yours bled the studio that bankrolled it.
