- Uchiko is more of that contemporary take than a traditional Japanese sushi experience, but good Asian cuisine nonetheless. By the way, the deserts are excellent too. The place isn’t cheap, so there are two good reasons to stay away, if you are a die hard purist and are bothered by the chef’s experimentation or are on a tight budget.
