The Thacher School is a private co-educational day and boarding school in Ojai, California. Founded in 1889 as a boys' school, it began admitting girls in 1977 and is California's oldest co-educational boarding school, as well as the oldest private boarding school west of the Mississippi River.
The social life at our school was pretty good. So removed and isolated, the prevalence of drugs and alcohol is honestly incredibly low. This leads to a lot of good genuine friendships. The weekends can be boring at times, but the school does a good job in hosting entertaining activities.
