Tekkaman Blade is anime's best kept secret imo. The art quality of this show is some of the worst I've ever seen at points (obligatory meme). Especially in the early run of episodes where it genuinely doesn't look much better than the 1975 Tekkaman during a lot of the space battles.
Yeah time to talk about this show's one big issue: It's an action show… and the action is not very good. While the choreography and direction is fine, the animation… isn't, especially when you compare it to the gorgeous Obari Masami-animated openings.
