You can take an easy walk along the shoreline (16km all around), a ride on one of the tourist boats (we tried the amphibious Duck Boat), or just sit under the trees and admire the view. There are many nice hotels and fyokans right on the edge of the lake and lots of good restaurants too.

Jun 1, 2016 · Lake Suwa is a 10 mins walk from the JR station. It is essentially an onsen town. We took a walk by the Lake and spotted the Lake Suwa-ko Geyser Center where you can enjoy the sight of a dynamic geyser and the "Nanatsu-gama," or the spot where seven hot springs gush. (check out the video).
