I've been having a really good time with it so far, but it seems that a lot of people think it's not worth watching due to the second half of the anime. I haven't spoiled anything for myself, but from what I've heard, the story starts taking itself too seriously later on in the anime.

It absolutely is worth watching. The art style, openings, endings, and fighting scenes are worth your time. The plot is also interesting, ending might leave you wanting for more, but it's worth the 51 episode run. It balances comedy and action imo really well. 6.
