The whole premise of royal triplets being separated at birth to fulfill a prophecy and then meeting again as teenagers to fight evil as rock band with magic instruments feels like such an 80s cartoon concept, but instead of predating Sonic 1 it somehow wound up in a show meant to promote Sonic Adventure.
Sonic Underground is unanimously agreed upon to be the worst Sonic cartoon. And there are lots of reasons for this. People have compared it to fanfiction on DeviantArt while I personally compare it to grunge. Because it's just as 90’s as the Genesis Era of Sonic, and I find it whiny. Like the singing voices in this show. But I digress.

She says all things must come to an end. And as I expected, Robotnik’s egg-shaped base looks perfectly intact, instead of destroyed or severely damaged from when the heroes….

Underground's cast of characters is lovable, hilarious and insanely entertaining, seeing the gang rock out with cheesy 90's rock tunes or defeating bad guys give this show such a distinct feel. However, the thing is, Sonic Underground is bad.
Nov 14, 2019 · Sonic Underground was the third and final Sonic animated series produced by DiC Entertainment, after Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog (“SatAM”). From what I understand, the animated series was conceived to promote Sega’s gloriously doomed Dreamcast, though there is little in common with the console, aside from a rather short life.

Jan 9, 2017 · I honestly think that Underground is the most lazy, cheap, and downright awful animation from anything Sonic related. I really think it's that bad. Sonic X, SatAM, Boom, and the OVA and AoSTH at least made attempts to keep the characters on-model the majority of the time, and at least tried to make a effort to keep the animation lively.
