Sims 4 is good and fun, not gonna lie, but it lacks in content and simulation deepness that the older games had. I recommend you get it on a sale, don't pay full price if you have doubts about it. It's pretty amazing. Sure, Sims walk through countertops, appliances, and even each other too, but there is so much the game does that is simply staggering that I don't think get enough appreciation. Sims 4 is great. I just don't find it to be as engrossing as Sims 3 was.
TS4- Good game, the beauty of the game comes down to the fine tuning as the Sims react and act much more lifelike. Store tool is greatly integrated for quick downloads straight to game for new lots and sims. Didn't think I'd love the game as much as I have. Loads for switching lots does get annoying early on, but you forget about it real fast.
