   Is Simond gear any good?

   • So here goes: Simond gear is guinualy good. It's more catered towards beginning/intermediate climbers, but we do have some nice high end stuff as well. Price/quality wise it's already great, and since I've got an employee reduction of 30% on top of that, I almost exclusively use Simond stuff. Safety wise, you don't need to worry.

   • I know climbing shoes should go on over a bare foot for maximum "sensitivity" and minimal roll/slippage but if they are too big anyway, a pair of socks and lacing them nice and tight can often be helpful, certainly at your grades (and mine!). > I have the orange ones too. Uppers are leather too which helps with odour.
