- Scream 6 is a movie deeply obsessed with the history of Ghostface, but that obsession can’t make up for the movie’s failure to produce an intriguing new addition to horror-villain canon. Scream 6 doesn’t achieve perfection, but by highlighting the newly dubbed Core Four, hitting all the right emotional beats, and dialing the brutality up to eleven, it comes dang close.
But after watching Scream 6, I’m pleased to report that it was a bloody excellent film and critics — including myself — are ranking it as one of the greatest offerings of the franchise.
