Feb 19, 2024 · Alex Cox‘s 1984 cult classic Repo Man is finally getting a sequel, with the original director returning behind the camera for Repo Man 2: The Wages of Beer. The sci-fi black comedy starred Emilio Estevez as Otto, who lands a job working for Harry Dean Stanton’s enigmatic Bud.
Although billed as a "non-sequel", Repo Chick has invariably been associated with Cox's earlier cult classic Repo Man. Cox shares the rights to Repo Man with Universal Pictures , such that neither can produce a true sequel without the other's consent.
