Sep 26, 2019 · Before you get started, get oriented. Part of Redondo Beach is inland. That's not where most people go unless they're locals running errands. The oceanfront section of Redondo starts on the north end at Herondo Street. Catalina Avenue is the street to take to get to the south end at Palos Verdes Blvd.

Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach are dense residential suburbs of Los Angeles.These are very nice communities to live in. Most of Manhattan Beach and almost all of Redondo Beach are inland and removed from the beach, so it is possible to stay at a nice hotel or eat at a nice restaurant in these cities and be nowhere near the ocean.
