Yes, Redline is the pinnacle of animation, surpassing even the likes of Akira IMO. Oh, and Redline actually did about average from what I recall, it only flopped because they went so massively over budget it was nearly impossible to make a profit from it.

Redline is really good. I think the Yellow Line race is better than the Redline race because it's more grounded and has all the really intense moments like JP's eyes bleeding form the speed. But the stuff off the race course really pushed this over the top for me.
Redline is one of my favorite movies of all time. There is no plot, but the movie still achieves at what it was trying to do. It's just a pure fun movie with some of the best animation put onto screen.
