   • Pomona is not LA. About 45 minutes into down town without much traffic. Going from the 57 to the 605 on the 10 west can be horrible. I used to live in Montclair but went to Pomona a lot. If you’re planning on living close to school, I’d try Claremont or Montclair. If you go further East you end up in upland, Ontario, and probably not your style.

   • North Pomona isn’t too bad, but overall Pomona is one of the roughest cities in Southern California. I’m from that area. South/ downtown Pomona is the rougher part. That said it’s no where near LA city so I wouldn’t sweat it.
