Room size: I'm pretty sure you'll get the option between a permanent single, which is the smaller room made for 1 person, and a designated single, which is the larger room made for 2 people, but with just one (I also believe you can also have an extended version of these two, but idk).
The rates listed are for students who begin at MSU during the 2024-25 academic year. The residence hall rates include a fully furnished room, in-room Wi-Fi, cable access and utilities. First-year students will not have a single room.
Live in Owen Hall. Mostly upperclass or grad students. The single rooms are a little tight but manageable. Most have hardwood floors and a partial meal plan with the riverwalk market right there. I lived there for a year and enjoyed it a lot.

Most other dorms have single rooms, but Owen (to my knowledge) is the only dorm that offers single rooms and allows you to live there without a meal plan. I'm living in Owen right now, and I don't have a meal plan.
