Owen Hall is one of the twenty-four co-ed residence halls on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus. It opened in 1957 as a men’s dormitory and was known as "H-1" until 1965 when it was renamed in honor of Purdue University’s first president, Richard Owen.

Fun fact: Owen Hall is named after Floyd Owen, class of 1902, who provided part of the funding to build the hall. It was the first co-ed hall with male and female students living in their respective wings.
