- It's really great to see a port of a game not make all the mistakes the original did, and it makes the title much easier to recommend. Nightmare Creatures still isn't a perfect game, but it now has enough going for it to be worth the time it takes to explore its dark, spooky world.

This game has for me only one good thing: the graphics and the setting. The 3D graphics are pretty nice for a PS1 game and the levels have some variety. The 19th century London setting is quite nice but you won't see much of if since the game wants that you rush through it (see below).
Yes. As broken and shitty as that game is, it's a one of a kind action game with some very good and unique atmosphere. It's creepy like nothing else, not even the fast paced combat bogs the atmosphere down, and the whole thing really comes together well in a way that was far ahead of it's time.
