The movie entails the trials and tribulations of Violet (Sanaa Lathan), a middle-aged woman who seems to have the perfect life: a handsome trophy boyfriend, a wonderful career as an advertising executive and most importantly, beautiful, long hair.

Great movie, but it's pushes too far. This movie has an absolutely wonderful message. Self worth, humility, natural beauty vs unhealthy beauty standards, freedom of choice. I think every woman should watch this movie, especially black women, and black teens. But, I'm suprised this movie got away with a pg-13 rating.
