Assonitis, the real director of the disastrous "Piranha Part Two: The Spawning" (which stains James Cameron's professional credits to this day) and producer of several other cheap B horror movies, "Madhouse" is a surprisingly competent slasher with touches of psychological horror, some good performances, decent production and an interesting triad of villains.
