- Metal Gear Solid to this day still holds up incredibly well for a game released in 1998, and of course some mechanics such as choking can sometimes be a little clunky and imprecise, but it nonetheless delivers a peak gaming experience for someone who has already played the franchise or is experiencing it for the first time, especially if you enjoy narrative-driven games and are looking for a very solid (no pun intended) stealth experience.

- Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus (2007) - 65. When Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops was announced, fans were pumped. It was the rare handheld game that felt like it could've worked on a bigger system.
- Metal Gear Acid (2004) - 75. To this point in the franchise, all that had been released were legitimate stealth action games. That changed with 2004's Metal Gear Acid as this was a tactical role-playing game instead.
