  4. I think that problem is remedied with Volume 2, though, which is why it bothers me when people say they prefer one to the other. I love Tarantino's other movies but I feel like Kill Bill is the one where the non-linear storytelling works the best. Also, I think it has the most fully realized characters of any of his movies.
