  2. Eragon is a very long book, about 157,000 words, as stated by Paolini himself. This is fairly similar to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which has 198,227 words. Harry Potter was turned into a movie. The movie was well-received, true to the book, and a well-made movie. It was 4 hours, 46 minutes long, divided across two movies.

Though it wasn't perfect, I would say those movies did a very good job of capturing the essence of the books fairly well. The casting, by and large, was extremely well done, and the special effects were amazing for the time.

  5. Eragon is a poor movie at best that fails to be entertaining, especially when compared to the other movies it is copying they style of such as "Lord of the Rings" and "Harry Potter". It seems that the makers of this movie thought, "This movie has swords, magic, old English style speech, horses and dragons, it therefore must be good".
