Colfe's School, previously Colfe's Grammar School, is a co-educational private day school in Horn Park in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, in southeast London, England, and one of the oldest schools in London.
The school is referred to as Colfe's Grammar School for the first time. 1857. The terms of Colfe's Will are reinforced under a new scheme, preventing reforms desired by Rev Prendergast, the Headmaster. 1867. The Reverend Thomas Bramley becomes Headmaster.
At that time it was a grammar school for boys, but Colfe’s became independent in 1977, thus ensuring the continuance of its tradition of excellence. Girls have been admitted to the Sixth Form for over 30 years, and the school has been fully co-educational since 1999.
Why Colfe’s? For 350 years we have educated the children of local families in south-east London, changing to suit modern needs. We are an academically selective school for girls and boys age 3-18.

In 1977 the school became independent; after 25 years as a voluntary aided boys’ grammar school. For over twenty years now, Colfe’s has been co-educational, with roughly equal numbers of boys and girls: over 1,250 pupils in all, from ages three to 18.
