Oct 22, 2019 · I thought 1 skull means it's equal or lower level and 2 skulls means its higher. Overall this game is much harder than Cat Quest I. The difficulty is still acceptable and enjoyable for me but I personally prefer it to be easier. A few reasons why it's harder, ordered by importance: - ranged attack from enemy.
Definitely go buy it. CQ1 had a bit more story to it, but the most important part are New Game+ and Mew Game. NG+ is starting over with the same character (levels and items), MG is making it difficult for yourself: play through the main storyline without levelling, without items, stronger enemies etc. Doing MG will grant you a specific set for NG.

Difficulty in playing melee in Cat Quest 2. I was previously playing CQ 1, after completing the game I transitioned to CQ2. And immediately I felt the difficulty increased to a stage where no longer felt casual anymore. It’s harder to jump in to attack and get out unscathed, the loading Attack animation loads much faster now.
