Beautiful album that I normally listen to during winter season. I'd give it an 8/10. I think Blue Valentines and Christmas Card have two of Tom Waits most devastatingly powerful vocal performances.

For someone dead-set in their jazzy undertones, Blue Valentine seems like a welcome diversion from the norm for Tom Waits. The instrumentation takes on a far more punchy, electric, and bluesy vibe than his previous records that typically only gravitated to this sound on occasion.
