- Don't let its ridiculous premise deceive you—this show is genuinely good. Despite being a mockumentary, its mystery has more layers, is better constructed, and is more captivating than that of many "serious" crime shows. The acting is superb as well.

- THE CREATORS GOT THEIR START LAMPOONING MICHAEL JORDAN. Before breaking out with American Vandal, co-creators Perrault and Tony Yacenda garnered some attention for a 2013 parody of ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary series.

One of the best high school-set shows in years, Netflix's American Vandal is a laugh-out-loud satire of popular true crime documentaries like Making a Murderer, but it also has layers, people!
American Vandal Season 1 and 2 is some of the best writing, or some of the best content on Netflix period. I was amazed how well the show handles these tonal shifts and takes such an unbelievably funny and out there concept and injects it this thrilling and truly engaging narrative.
