- Fortunately, Giorgio Serafini’s 200 Degrees, while not to the extreme minimalist level of Ryan Reynolds trapped in a coffin in 2010’s Buried, is still that rarity of bare bones minimalism with just enough colorful dialogue and twists in the script supporting a magnetic lead performance for one riveting experience.

Jun 8, 2017 · SPOILER. This movie demands leaving your logic function turned off for much longer to achieve a less satisfying result. “200 Degrees” asks the impossible by wanting its audience to swallow a notion that three tenuously connected people would be willing to invest in the same insane scheme.
Eric Balfour is a rich Wall Street guy trapped in an industrial kiln while his kidnappers demand ransom as the heat increases 3 degrees every whatever. Despite putting makeup burns on him, Balfour only ever gets mildly sweaty and never gets hot enough to take off his shirt (nevertheless his undershirt or pants).
