Sep 26, 2023 · The film follows a sixty-year-old man, Quan Ngoc Minh, who loses his daughter, Fan, to a terrorist attack in London. Afterward, as the authorities, headed by Counter Terrorism Commander Richard Bromley, look into the attack, they turn their suspicions on Irish individuals.
Minh Quan runs a Chinese restaurant in London with his business partner Lam. When his teenage daughter Fan is killed in a clothing store bombing, he seeks revenge. The bombing is claimed by a group calling itself the "Authentic IRA".
Chan has, in the past, spoken out against anti-Chinese-government protesters. So it's not too much of a leap in logic to imagine that his reactionary real-life politics might lead him to disdain terrorists who become politicians. Still: this is the problem he feels should be exploited
