Unlike a lot of action movies that try to appear as though they have real danger, The Grey actually does have real danger. SPOILER: All the characters die. I know the ending can be seen as somewhat ambiguous, with Liam Neeson about to fight off some wolves before it cuts to black, but they way I see it, he has no chance against them.

Overall, The Grey is a solid movie that thinks a bit deeper than the usual action movie does and it features a strong performance from Neeson. Full Review | Oct 23, 2017
The Grey is probably his best film to date because of the emotional narrative. And it’s a solidly made survival film too. I saw Boss Level and Copshop (btw Toby Huss made that film worth seeing, he should have had a bigger role) recently, they’re not incredible, but they’re not terrible either.
