- While it has its drawbacks (outdated fast zooms, an overbearing score typical of the era, and more than enough shots of angry men racing about on horses), the acting is pretty decent (most notably Price, who gives a surprisingly restrained performance), the atmosphere is relentlessly somber, and, despite the ugly subject matter, it is more often than not wildly entertaining despite its flaws.
