Oct 19, 2023 · Since Word 2013, Word has had the ability to directly open pdf document. However, some pdf documents (from scanners mostly) are really pictures of text rather than the text itself. Just as you can't look under the hood of a picture of a car, you can't edit a picture of a document. In that case, you need to convert the picture to text.

Aug 24, 2020 · To convert a PDF to another other format, including Word, you need to use a tool/feature called OCR. Word 365 has OCR built in to it. In theory, you can open a PDF and it will be "OCR'd". But in practice, it requires a specific PDF file format to work. So, give it a try, it may work.

Jul 14, 2020 · When I convert a PDF into word, I'm often left with some text in boxes. This makes it very difficult to format the document. I've tried "Control +A" and "Control + Q" but it doesn't work. I've also tried "Control A" and paste as "Unformatted Text" but it's even worse, the text that was inside text boxes simply "disappear".

Nov 23, 2021 · Every time I try to save as PDF, the exported document's font/format always changing. Even I try to change the font type, but the result will be same. I've try to uninstall the office but it didn't work. I also try to add an enxtension in Word (add-ins) to convert the file, but the result just the same.
