Apr 4, 2022 · When comparing our education funding to the size of our state’s overall economy, Arizona ranks 49th in the nation, spending $25.42 on K-12 education for every $1,000 of personal income. The national average is $36.13.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the amount spent per pupil for public elementary and secondary education increased by 3.4% during the 2018 fiscal year, making the sixth consecutive year of increased spending in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
