- BRANDYWINE FALLS - Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This is one of the most popular attractions in the national park. The Brandywine Gorge Trail is a hiking trail that starts near the Inn at Brandywine Falls at the top of the waterfall and meanders down to the creek bed (see map below).
- MILL CREEK FALLS - Cleveland Metroparks. This pleasant surprise in the Garfield Park Reservation is reported to be the tallest waterfall in Cuyahoga County.
- CHAGRIN FALLS. Chagrin Falls, located in the charming village of the same name, is the largest of several waterfalls on the Chagrin River. An ice cream and popcorn shop sits at the top of the falls, and a large wooden staircase leads down to a viewing deck that's so close to the falls you can feel the mist.
- BLUE HEN FALLS - Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This waterfall is the first stop on a national park hiking trail that also includes Buttermilk Falls. The national park discourages swimming at the falls.
- Brandywine Falls. Shutterstock Image. Brandywine Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in the state of Ohio. At 65 feet tall, it’s also the tallest waterfall in the state.
- Shredder Falls. Shredder Falls can be accessed along the Brandywine Gorge Trail. Beginning at the parking lot, follow the trail clockwise for half a mile until you cross the footbridge.
- Great Falls of Tinkers Creek. Shutterstock Image. While not technically inside the National Park, the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek lies mere minutes outside the park boundary.
- Bridal Veil Falls. Shutterstock Image. Brandywine Falls is tall, the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek is loud, and the Bridal Veil Falls is peaceful. You can enjoy the gentle cascading falls from a boardwalk and bridge, just a short walk from the parking lot on Gorge Parkway, near the Shawnee Hills Golf Course.
Hocking Hills State Park’s Cedar Falls, Old Man’s Cave and Ash Cave are all destinations along the 6-mile Grandma Gatewood Trail, which is also part of the statewide Buckeye Trail as well as the national North Country Scenic and America’s Discovery trails.
