The Washington County Park System includes more than 1,200 acres of breathtaking views, wooded trails and serene lakes and ponds. Spring, summer and fall activities include hiking, picnicking, boating, swimming, canoeing, fishing, basketball and sand volleyball.

The U.S. state of Washington has over 140 state parks that are managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. These include 19 marine parks and 11 Historical Parks. The park system was established in 1913 by the creation of the Washington State Board of Park Commissioners. [2]
With more than 4,400 acres of parkland, Washington County contains more than 75 miles of turf and paved trails, 5 beaches, 2 campgrounds, and a wide ofering of programs and events.
