Metapopulations. The haplotype frequencies can be sensibly reported in groups of spatially distributed populations (Metapopulations) sharing a common ancestry and thus a similar pool of deep-rooting lineages.
Currently the YHRD has seven non-overlapping broadly defined metapopulations: African, Afro-Asiatic, Native American, Australian Aboriginal, East Asian, Eskimo-Aleut, and Eurasian. Some of these metapopulations are further subdivided, e.g. Eurasian into six subcategories, from which the European subgroup splits further into three groups of ...

Mar 1, 2015 · The YHRD currently includes 33 metapopulations (see Fig. 2), which are subject to changes if new samples arrive or variance analysis (e.g. by AMOVA, see Section 4.1) confirms divergence of population groups (for an example see Fig. S1).

Currently the YHRD has defined seven major metapopulations: Eurasian, African, Afroeurasian, East Asian, Amerindian, Australian Aboriginal, Eskimo Aleut and one admixed (equally high contributions from different ancestral populations).
Generate reliable Y-STR haplotype frequency estimates for Y-STR haplotypes to be used in the quantitative assessment of matches in forensic and kinship casework. Assessment of male population stratification among world-wide populations as far as reflected by Y-STR and Y-SNP frequency distributions.
Oct 1, 2016 · YHRD is structured by the assignment of each submitted population sample to a set of populations sharing a common linguistic, demographic, genetic or geographic background (metapopulations).
