Adaptation Personality Change: Out of the four main characters, Sujin is by far the most different from her webtoon incarnation: In the webtoon she was narcissistic and an attention seeker, she only pretended to befriend Jugyeong to try and keep her apart from Suho (whom they both had feelings for), and would silently belittle Jugyeong. In the ...
In the Webtoon, it makes sense that Sujin is mean. She was shown to be fake nice from almost the very beginning, and thus her antagonism worked with the plot. However, as the drama took significant liberties with the plot, I feel like making Sujin do a complete 180 was super unrealistic, especially in the later episodes.
I'm trying to put her into one of two categories, which I will do my best to explain: A potentially good character that is too damaged and needs to be offered a great deal of help and understanding that will, eventually, help her.

Sujin Kang was a student at Saebom High School who is currently a social media influencer. Despite having a seemingly perfect life, Sujin deals with an alcoholic and abusive mother, a broken family, bulimia disorder, and an abusive boyfriend.
Unlike Jugyeong, Sujin is naturally beautiful. She has notably small pores, fair skin, and large gray eyes, which she enhances with makeup. She often wears tight-fitting, revealing clothes to show her slim body and voluptuous curves. Her attire is usually from high-end brands. She has long black hair, tall stature, and an identifying mole under her...
Sujin appears to come from a very troubled household. Her father was the CEO of an illegal company, and her mother is depicted as abusive and uncaring. Her father was later caught by the police and arrested after finding out about his illegal business. Sujin locks herself up in her room and plays music to drown out her mother's yells. It is hinted that she has bulimia.
In the drama, Sujin comes from an abusive family but she has an abusive and strict father and she washes her hands to let off the steam. She was being forced to excel first place by her father.
Sujin has a personality that is very difficult to like. The fact that she came from a problematic family, among other reasons, causes her to take out her frustration on those around her. She maintains a nice girl image in public and uses her beauty to manipulate others. When she discovered that Jugyeong and Suho became acquainted, Sujin quickly befriended Jugyeong to learn information both about her and her association with Suho. Viewing Jugyeong as her love rival, Sujin attempts to sabotage her both socially and romantically.
Though she has a bad attitude, Sujin is vulnerable and insecure about her past. She never opens up about her family life, and was horror-struck when she encountered her ex-friends. She is constantly fishing for compliments and assurances to reaffirm her beauty. After Junho (Sujin's abusive boyfriend) is arrested, she is a whole new person with a much more kind-hearted personality.
•Sujin suffers from bulimia.
•Sujin enjoys playing the harp.
•Differences with the drama:
•Instead of her suffering from bulimia, Sujin was shown to release her stress by excessively washing hands.
•She was shown to deal with an abusive father.
•Sujin has a signature kick when she's angry called the Wheel Kick.
Hey so I don’t know if it’s too early to say this but I noticed that Sujin is playing a different role and the plot kinda changed in the new drama that released. The original webtoon, they view her as an enemy and you can easily tell by her first appearance to Jugyeong and her crush on Suho.
Soo-ah is just as boy crazy as Jugyeong and Sujin in the webtoon. Here she has a boyfriend (their class clown and b-boy), and in the second episode states she doesn't find either Suho or Seojun attractive; due to their tendency to tense the atmosphere whenever they're together in the same room.
