Apr 3, 2014 · On a number of levels, Tindersticks Second Album is a continuation of where the band left off at the end of their début eighteen months earlier. The orchestral grandeur is there, the lovelorn tales, the dirt and grime, the heartache, pain, clanging interludes - even the album’s title is the same, or at least equally absent.

Oct 11, 2006 · I picked up the "Working For The Man" best of collection from the remaster series, which like the others is a 2-CD set, the second disc in this case 17 b-sides and rarities. I got it mostly for that second disc since I have 3 of the 5 albums it's from, but also wanted to hear a sample of the remasters, even though I thought the originals are fine.

May 9, 1994 · The first track is excellent but it is the second side that had me totally focused, and often delighted by what I heard. Some of the most haunting music there is almost chillingly beautiful. There is also enough variation to maintain my interest throughout.
