The Item Router is a machine added by Immersive Engineering. Unlike most machines, it does not consume any energy. The Item Router is used to organize and distribute items, used together with Conveyor Belts. The Item Router has a GUI. It has a collection of slots for each side of the Item Router.
I do have belts cycling back to the beginning as a stopgap measure, but what I really need is a way to make the belt system pull items only if they have somewhere to go. Right now I have a loop of stuff going nowhere, since it all comes back to the buffer at the start.
The Conveyor Belt is a block added by Immersive Engineering. It is used to move items and entities. Placing a Conveyor Belt will make it point in the direction the player faces.
