   • Empire for really grand campaign and Napoleon for more polished minor campaigns. Napoleon is the best version of Empire but you could consider to get them both and install mod to improve Empire. Napoleon for Battles and multiplayer (battles and campaign) while Empire has a grander campaign size.

   What if Empire had Napoleon's features?

   • If Empire had Napoleon's features it'd be the best, so it's really a tradeoff. Empire has the better map and arguably era. Napoleon has the better mechanics. But, in terms of replayability I'd go for Empire. Especially if you install darthmod you can play as so many different nations so there's endless possibilities.

   Is Napoleon a good game?

   • Napoleon is everything Empire should have been, minus the limited campaign map. Yes, the global theaters and strategic play for Empire is cool, but the tactical battles are just so poorly optimized and the lack of regions for certain countries (1 region France) really kills off a lot of the enjoyment for me.

   Which version of Empire is better ETW or Napoleon?

   • Napoleon is the best version of Empire but you could consider to get them both and install mod to improve Empire. Napoleon for Battles and multiplayer (battles and campaign) while Empire has a grander campaign size. However, ETW is more laggy for me and has crashing issues.

   Jul 7, 2022 · Empire units look very similar for most of the factions while I found Napoleon to have more variety in this aspect. However, Empire has more variety in campaign. I don´t use mods, just stock games.

   Napoleon's battles are FAR more polished. The artillery is much more responsive, effective, and all around awesome. The troops, if I remember correctly, have more variation and formations. If you're all about the battles I would VERY MUCH recommend Napoleon.
