Rummy is a card game that you play with two standard decks of cards and two printed Joker cards, between 2-6 players. One of them is called the closed deck, where the cards are placed face down and the player cannot see the cards they are picking, while the other one is an open deck where discarded cards are visible.
Rummy is played with 2-6 players using a 52-card deck, with each player dealt 13 cards. The goal is to arrange these cards into valid sets and sequences, with at least one pure sequence (a sequence without a joker).
A player goes "rummy" when they get rid of all cards in their hand at once, without previously having put down or laid off any cards. In this event, every other player pays double - twice what opponents would otherwise owe.
