WTF is up with this hotbar system. There are "Equipment Shortcuts" at the top of the Inventory. Pressing 1 or 2 does change equipment, but it doesn't let you set whatever you want to numbers.
You may find that you may not need to assign that many different buildables to your Hotbars - if you assign one buildable from each building subcategory, you can then use the radial menus (or just cycle by tapping the E key) to get the specific item you want. Of course, your game, you decide.
Jun 9, 2020 · To bind items to your Hotbar, simply press Q to bring up the construction menu. Next, hover over the item you want to put in your bar and hit the number key you want to put it in. The thing should now pop up on the Hotbar in the appropriate slot.
