The current Pokémon swarm will change every day at midnight, though you can manipulate it by Soft Resetting the game if you haven't saved on that day.
A swarm lasts for a day. If you want a different Pokemon, you need to wait it out, or change the time to 11:55 PM and wait for the day to change while you're playing (i.e., you need to be playing when the clock strikes midnight).
