Final Warning is the first Exotic Strand weapon in Destiny 2 Lightfall. The sidearm includes auto-tracking projectiles that can lock onto enemies and Unravel them when they hit. You need to complete The Final Strand quest to unlock Final Warning, and we'll show you how to do it.
Before you can unlock the Final Warning Exotic, you need to finish the last mission in the Lightfall campaign, Desperate Measures, and unlock your Strand subclass. The grind is far from over, though.
Before you can pick up The Final Strand quest, you need to unlock all Strand Aspects, Fragments, and Grenades for your class. By finishing the campaign, you should have both Aspects and Grenades unlocked, as well as one fragment. You need to finish off the rest.
You can unlock Fragments by spending 200 Strand Meditations at the Pouka Pond in the Hall of Heroes, where you originally unlock Strand. You unlock Strand Meditations by using your Strand subclass, as well as completing activities on Neomuna. The fastest way to earn the Strand Meditations you need is to equip your Strand subclass and complete the Terminal Overload activity on Neomuna. This will still take some time, though, as Terminal Overload only awards you between 50 and 100 Strand Meditations per run.
Once you have all the fragments you need, interact with the Pouka Pond in the Hall of Heroes to pick up The Final Strand quest.
Step One: After you have the quest, head out of the Hall of Heroes to Nimbus and speak with them to progress the quest.
Step Two: Head to Veil Containment to take on Shadow Legion forces. You can get to Veil Containment through Zephyr Concourse, following the path you take in the final mission of the campaign. If you're having trouble getting where you need to go, open your map and click the icon in Veil Containment (left on the Neomuna map) to pull up a quest marker that will guide you to the location.
