He was on medication with Bupropion (Wellbutrin™) for smoking cessation, and had a history of a previous collapse without further consequences.

It is difficult not to feel the sadness that permeates our house, as hard as we try, our beloved child, who made us a family of three, is gone forever. The loss of Michael has left scars that cannot be hidden behind bittersweet smiles. During normal activity, Michael passed out in September 2001.
Critical Decision Point 1. One early procedure resulted in brief death, and might have gone undisclosed. The nurse who disclosed Michael’s “death” was professionally censured for doing so. The recommended neurosurgeon said he’d done the surgery numerous times. He had not.
