Dec 2, 2016 · Season 3. In the time period when Crash was still in Skylands with Team Spyro, the bandicoot was intercepted by a time-travelling Dark Spyro and Eruptor, who wanted to ask Crash a couple of questions in Days of Future Crash.
Crash demands that Chompy Mage remove Spyro's chains, only for the mage to flee, leaving the Skylanders to carry Spyro back home. When they finally get back to the Academy, Master Eon uses the book to create a powerful rift, finally allowing Crash to go home.
While searching for the Relic, Spyro begins to idolize and even attempts to imitate Crash. The Skylanders were able to find the Relic in the form of Kaossandra's evil book, which Kaos stole in order to gain its power, but needed a villain to open it; the one he chose being Chompy Mage.
Crash Bandicoot retains several of his old abilities from the Crash Bandicoot series as a Skylander. He can perform a punch combo before unleashing his classic spin attack, and even perform his classic slide attack.
I felt fuzzy when I saw Crash in Skylanders Academy. The whole Spyro looking up to Crash like a little brother to his big brother is heartwarming. And then the hug before Crash jumps back into the conjured portal to his home. The animators know what the fans sees Crash and Spyro as.
Skylanders Academy is a separate continuity from the regular Skylanders series, and that Crash is also from another universe, as he doesn't know Spyro, has Tawna as a friend instead of a girlfriend, talks, and regularly does extreme tricks.
