Joshua "JP" Punkhead, nicknamed Sweet JP (すごく優しい男JP, Sugoku yasashī otoko JP), is the protagonist of Redline (Movie). He drives a heavily-customized Trans Am 20000 WR. JP is a tall, lean, humanlike man. He has a long face with black hair and sapphire eyes.
Machinehead Tetsujin (マシンヘッド鉄仁, Mashinheddo Tetsujin) is the all time champion of Redline, his first race being the fourth event at the said sport. His machine God Wing was shown to be smaller and progressively gained size and power along with Machinehead himself.
