Dromineer (Irish: Drom Inbhir/Druim Inbhir, meaning 'ridge of the river mouth') [2] is a small village and townland [3] in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is on the shores of Lough Derg, 8 km north-west of Nenagh (10 km by road) on the R495 road. It is also a civil parish in the historical barony of Ormond Lower.
Dromineer is located on the east side of Lough Derg north of Garrykennedy and is a classic holiday village. During the summer months it is a hive of tourist activity as people come to enjoy its marina and relax by the small beach.

Dromineer is ten kilometres north-west of Nenagh on Lough Derg; originally this lakeside tourist attraction acted as an important port to the area, but now it is a major tourist attraction with the Canal Company Store surviving from the 1820s, a tower dating right back to the 1500s and a tenth century parish church.
